                    Hello !

Nice and interesting Soldbuch. Thanks for sharing !

I do not know, whether you found the following links already :
                    http://www.ww2.dk/ground/flak/abt/fest311.html
                    http://www.ww2.dk/ground/flak/flargt11.html

The first link might be interesting because :
                    a) it mentions a possible connection to Guernsey (could be worth further research !)
                    b) The link (and several other sources) claim that the Res.-Fest.-Flak-Abt. 311 was dissolved already in July 1941.
But your Soldbuch seems to say something different. Could also be interesting to research.

The second link gives the subordinations after mid 1942.

A further point worth mentioning :
The Soldbuch shows, that the Flak-Rgt. 11 is redesignated as Flak-Sturm-Rgt. 11
(there were only a handful of this type).
From what I read, this was done in some cases, to acknowledge the units achievements.
I could find no mentioning in the literature, that this happened to Flak-Rgt. 11.
So this is another case, where personal docs really add some important info to unit histories.

                    Best regards,

                    Archi

                        Hi,

I have a very similar SB from a soldier who spent the whole war in the same battery, 10. Battr. Flak Regt. 11, as a driver. There are so much similarities in the stampings and signature, he also got the Kurland cuffband on the same day. And there is exactly the same writing with sturm rgt on march 21st 1945 on page 4.
I will post some pictures tomorrow if I can.

                        Best regards

                        Benjamin

that would be great to see. i am very interested in the soldbuch and see what they have in common.

                          greetings Rik

                            Hi,

With some late, here is my Soldbuch from Flak rgt 11, you can easily noticed lots of similarities with Rik's Soldbuch. Nikolaus L. served from early 1939 with Flak Regt. 11, he was a driver and earned quite a lot of awards : ek2, Luft drivers badge with gold kordel, flakkampfabzeichen, erdkampfabzeichen, Ostmedaille, driver badge in bronze and Kurland band.

                            Best regards

                            Benjamin

Wow, two Soldbuch, two soldiers, one unit.

I bet they met each other during their service.
