Spanush made pistol, could be a 300, 3000 or 600 model in calibers 9 mm. long. 9 short or 9 mm Parabellum.

Looking for DKiG Heer winner Soldbuch who also won the TDB and/or CCC, specially in Silver.

            douglynn,

should you still own this Soldbuch: could you please tell us also something about the unit of the owner ? The Astras are not that common pistols, and I just liked to learn more about units having them.

            Regards

              Hello,

That soldier was also previous issued a Belgian FN 9mm.
              A rare entry also imo.

              Cheers,
              Peter

Actually neither pistol is rare, there are 1,000's of german marked HP35's and Astra's, Many hundreds of Astras were sold on the US civilian surplus market in the 50's and 60's (and later). I believe they were about 20 bucks back then. However, the entries in the WP/SB may be scarce. The Germans used foreign weapoms extensively including the CZ27, Barretta 1934, etc. Many of which show up in the weapons entries. BTW the Astra was produced in Guernica, Spain from 1908 to 1998. Serial # range for nazi accepted Astra model 400's is 92,851-98,850 and in 90% condition are worth about $400. Made from 1921-1945 Model 600's are waffenamted and are serial #'s 1-10,500. Made from 1944-1945. It's about $800 in 100%. They also produced a broomhandle copy and many other military style firearms (model 1911, 1915/16 etc.). Since your entry does not fit the 400 range (even remotely) you can probably assume it is another model.
                Regards

                  Hello legionitalia

yes, you are right: the Astra itself is no rare gun. But an entry in a Soldbuch isn’t that common.
