WP & SB of repatriates soldiers for POW exchange

the past month I got hold of two wehrpass of German soldiers exchanged, the first a a medical soldier captured in Tunisia and released in October 1943, and the second a officer (captain) captured in Italy (Coriano) in September 1944 and released in January 1945.

All the annotations are on page 12/13 ...

    Does anyone have any others?

I liked to see how they POW notese were written in the other wehrpasses or soldbuch, expecially in case of WP or SB captured or dispersed or reissued,

    ciao Oriano

    Oriano,
I have a WP/SB combo for a man captured in Italy and repatriated in 1944. The WP doesn't have any mention of it but he was issued a new Soldbuch with an attachment that does.

        soldbuch

He was with 8/Gren Rgt 725 (715 Inf Div). I turned the scan so you can read the attachment. On the Wehrpass you can see they have written "folgt" in pencil but nothing followed.

I remember well the Fus.Batl 98 document! It has a very detailed story of the officer during the fights in Coriano!

Jeff... you seak of the devil ( the 715th)....
If I read well, it stated that the soldier had signed a declaration that he will never fought again at the front, right?

              Very interesting :
even the Italians had a similar statement signed by the British soldiers at the time of their release....

It's the first time I heard of this statement for the German and Italian soldier. It's intresting... the question is, which was the reaction and the behaviour of the Army after they returned in their country?
                Do you have info?

                Ciao

he followed a regular road after his release: released through the International Committee of the Red Cross because soldiers captured under the protected of the "red cross band" has always been reused as health personnel in the homeland, while the first soldier captured in Africa and probably always released as the same reason, he was then enlisted in a panzer-grenadier regiment

here a nice New Zealand site on the exchange of prisoners between Allies and Axis
