Nice presentation. I like the additional maps and of course the connection to the Netherlands. Must be a lot of work to find information about these units.

FANTASTIC JOB researching the history behind that SB, as always, Uwe! Born and raised in Aachen, this one is especially interesting for me, and it also suits my passion for Western Front documents!

            Thanks for showing!

I just saw this thread and Soldbuch, unbelievable!
I love it due to its Castricum connection (see my signature)
                Great presentation
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

At first glance, not a SB I would looked at more than 2 Minutes.... But dear Archi, your historical researches are almost unparalleled (only by some Italian guys here you know too ) and makes it very special, with a great sense of pedagogy, really precious for newcomer in this hobby and some great expertise for advanced collectors. Thank you for your sharing and your imput in the Wehrpass and Soldbuch Forum !!

                      Hello Lionel !

Many, many thanks for your very kind and encouraging commments !

However, this was one of the first SBs I bought, just because of the unit "Schnelle Abteilung 504".
Only later I noticed, that I have enough literature etc., to cover almost every stage of his career in detail.
So that was also a lot of luck !

                      Thanks again and best regards,

                      Archi
