recently, I saw this on eBay.






I think It's not as good condition as it got from the ground.

anyway IS this good one?

the tag seems original but the string is questionable

I think too that the dogtag is good. The string IMHO is not textbook and is very hard to say when it was applied.

Original Ekm, cords got worn and broke so the wearer would replace with whatever came to hand. That being said I am not an expert in 70 plus year old string but I doubt this is original.

I found this:

"Aufklärungs-Abteilung 16

Aufgestellt am 26. August 1939 in Neuhaus durch das Kavallerie-Regiment 15. Die Reiter-Schwadronen wurden im Oktober 1940 zur 126. Infanterie-Division abgegeben. Am 2. August 1940 wurde die Abteilung in
Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilung 16 umbenannt. Dabei wurde die 2. (Späh.) / Panzeraufklärungs-Abteilung 57 eingegliedert. Am 3. September 1941 nach den Kämpfen bei Uman mit dem Kradschützen-Bataillon 16 verschmolzen. Am 1. Mai 1942 in Kradschützen-Bataillon 16 umbenannt.
Neu entstanden am 1. April 1943 durch die Umbenennung des Kradschützen-Bataillon 16.

Ersatztruppenteil war die Kavallerie-Ersatz-Abteilung 15, ab August 1940 die Aufklärungs-Ersatz-Abteilung 6."
