I would agree with Stijn. May I ask if this was the WP with EKII document that was sold on the Estand? - If so you are very lucky, missed out as I was away when it was up!

Thanks guys...yes, this was an estand pick up from Stefan (aktinium) and included the man's EKII doc. I thought it was really interesting because it seems to be an example of a silver wound badge awarded for one very serious, incapacitating wound (shell splinter in the back of the head according to the wound entry). He was only wounded once, then transferred to some kind of administrative duties, where his awards, including the EKII, caught up w/ him.

re the entries: what would the translation be...I understand the "combat operations in the Army Group Middle" part...but the part in parens I was interested in and didn't understand. I also assume the second entry refers to clothing issue of some kind?

The battle entries can be translated as follows:

Operations in the Area of Army Group Middle
Engagements not yet known

As for the other discharge entry, I am not entirely sure, but something like he didnt geta clothing loan.
