          Third and last one:

          Arno Hammer
          Last rank Obergefreiter (U.A.).
          Soldbuch, zweitschrift issued in 1943.
          He started in the LW and ended up in the Heer.

          He was most likely in Stalingrad with Wachbataillon Luftwaffe.
          He arrived with 31b at Feld.Laz. 194 (94 ID) on 1-1-1943.
          He was one of the lucky ones to get out as he was relocated to another Lazarett.

          Later he ended up with 14./Grenadier-Regiment 124 (72.ID).
          He was in Tscherkassy pocket with 72.ID in 1944.

          Medals that he received:
          * Ostmedaille (1942)
          * Eisernes-Kreuz II Klasse (12-12-1942)
          * Erdkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe (22-7-1943)
          (Verw.Abz.Schw. not noted in SB).
          * Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Silber (15-6-1944)

          I'm not sure what they meant with the red/pink cross on page one. He might have died??

                          Wow! Very nice stuff. The 72. Inf. Div. is one of my favorite German divisions from the war.

                          Let's keep this thread going!

                            Hi Angel. The 72.I.D. is an old Division several time severely beaten on the eastern Front and rebuilt accordingly. If you look to the right market Places, you will for sure find some Stuff !The german CRoss Group from LRRPS (that I already knew :-) is just top notch. I have one two, by far not so complete, but well, gotten from the Veteran Daughter some Years ago. I will present it apart in the coming months, if you Angel are interested to see it.
