    Hill 112

    Hi PanzerElite,

    IMO, the rarest of the soldbuchs of units that fought on/around Hill 112
    would be the two SS Heavy Tank Battalions (Tiger) the 101st and 102nd. Tiger material is very expensive, especially the SS versions.

      In my collection I have an 'Ersatz-Soldbuch' for the tank commander of Tiger 131 who earned his EK 1 at Villers-Bocage.

      Also the Soldbuch of one of Wittmann's buddies from the 101/501 staff and a Soldbuch of a Panther commander and German Cross in Gold commander SS-Pz Rgt 1 'LSSAH'.

      I must say they something special/thrilling about them.

          That's a very nice group, congrats! I do have photos of that group though, thanks.

          It reminds me that as part of the Wittmann estate I have a nice hand-written letter from Franz Staudegger to Michael Wittmann right after FS got the KC, flew to Berlin with Sepp Dietrich and was presented to AH.
