    help with a little entry please

    Hello,
    I have been offered this wehrpass, and I would like to know what this is all about... did this man go from obergefreiter to gefreiter?? And what's the text after those two ranks.

    Entries after rank would appear to be: "zum Rg. befehl Nr.3.1"

    i.e. "according to Regimental order No.3.1" or something similar.

    I could be mistaken but I think that's the gist of it.

      Do you also know why first obergefreiter and then gefreiter? Would he have lost his rank?

        Iam not sure Giel, but it is certainly possible that he was demoted.

            The top rank is Obergrenadier not Obergefreiter. Second one is Gefreiter.
