I assume that you want to know, what the inscription means and which unit it belongs to.
In this case, I believe that this EKM belonged to a member of the Stab of schwere Schwadron,
Aufklärungs-Abteilung 1 (1. Inf.Div.).
(And I would also assume, that this EKM was issued at the time of Mobilization. It would be nice,
if someone can comment on that assumption
!).
The inscription is taken directly from the KStN for this unit (KStN #323):
(T.E.) Führ. schw. Schw. (mot)/Aufkl.Abt.
= (Teil-Einheit) Führer schwere Schwadron(mot)/Aufklärungs-Abteilung
The schwere Schwadron would consist of the following subunits with KStNs :
- #323 : (T.E.) Führ. schw. Schw. (mot)/Aufkl.Abt.
- #343 : (T.E.) Kav.Gesch.Zg. (2 le. I.G.) (mot Z)
- #371 : (T.E.) Kav.Panz.Sp.Tr. (3 Pz.-Spähwagen)
- #341 : (T.E.) Kav.Panz.Abw.Zg. (3 Gesch.)
