    Entry in soldbuch for opinion

    Hello,

What do you think about this entry? Could it be an original piece? Is it rare?\

    All the best

    Infanterie Division Berlin existed:

    http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...n/IDBerlin.htm

So the entry could be okay. I don't have any immediate info on the subsequent unit, but someone on the forum is bound to know.

No idea of price, but endkampf entries linked to Berlin are desirable.

        Jeff is right.
The last 2 entries make no sense.

There was no 9.Kompanie directly under Division Berlin.
And, as far as i know, there was no Division 308.

        Infanterie-Division Berlin was 309, not 308.
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

Even the abbreviation >Kgf.< which normally means "Kriegsgefangene" in this Connection makes
          no sense.

I have seen this style of entry before when relating to PoW units.....whether or not Berlin is a wartime entry not sure but as it appears to be in the same hand, probably also related to his PoW unit.

Hi, I'd like to confirm my thought about this entry - does it mean that all of the equipment was returned by the soldier?

              Regards

It would be helpful if you could post all pages from the book, to help piece together its history.

                  Thanks,
                  Michael

The last word I read "Stgbfr." abbreviation for "Stabsgefreiter" and before the word Stgbfr.

could be the name/signature of the Stabsgefreiter.

Going back to the unit details, it's worth noting that the entry for Gren Rgt 982 (4 Kompanie) has not been crossed out, as is standard protocol when a soldier transfers. This does cast further doubt on the subsequent entries. Seeing the rest of the book may shed more light on who he was with in '45.
