Request for information on missing soldier form

I think from what I can understand that this is a form for requesting from a father ,to find out if his son is alive in North Africa. On the reverse is the answer hand written. Can someone please confirm that this is correct.
    Thanks

On the back siede the father of a German Africa soldier who was a POW since 2 Dec 1942 made a

note that he was asking for a "Propanzulage"(?) (extra pay for propane liquid gas ?) because of

the POW Status of his son.

In the moment I do not exactly know what "Propanzulage" in this context means.

      It's Tropenzulage .....tropical pay.

      He was a member of FP Nr. 17666 - 1. Kompanie, Panzergrenadier-Regiment 86.

I was hesitating using the word "Propan"zulage which I never heard before. But one never knows

which different allowances were in use during WW2. Thanks for correcting my mistake.

Originally the Trupenzulage was paid directly to the soldier. However, they apparently were spending the money "on the wrong things" and later, by regulations, the money was sent directly to their home account. Perhaps the father was trying to find out how to access that account, as his son was a POW and couldn't.
