    very interesting !
    and knowing how the WPs are keeping and running with the company.
    on the other hands,
    we saw a "box" of soldiers, what the fates are they facing in the end?

        So the police only took the left-over content, not the box.
        Just out of curiosity. What do we know about the contents? what was in it?

        * Wehrpässe
        * Soldbücher (KIA)
        * SS-Stammkarte
        * A4 sized service records
        * Lists of casualties

        What more?
        I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
        Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

                The Halbe box of 6./SS Rgt 86 contained the following contents.

                100-120 Wehrpässe
                10 KIA Soldbücher with half ID tags
                SS Strafbuch (front page with SS Logo like on the SS sport shirt with letters "Strafbuch"
                Papers that the Gräberoffizier was informed about the KIA and papers how the men were KIA at the Oder.
                10 unissued steel ID discs "SS Pz.Gr.Lehr Rgt."
                SS Stammkarten
                Hindenburglichter
                And one thing that I will not write but includes all infos from above

                All things were neatly in binders together.

                According to a forest worker, the box was probably dug up long before. The forest workers plundered golden rings (of the KIA) and then buried the box out of fear.

                The finder sold the box the same day locally to a friend. She passed through several hands and was sold to a banker. A few weeks later, the police charged all parties with a traitor for questioning. The box and contents were never found and confiscated.

                Aber das ist natürlich alles nur eine Geschichte..

                              I was told there also was a bunch of wound badge documents with the names of the wounded soldiers on them but not yet stamped and signed. There was also an award-list with names of the soldiers on them who were awarded the woundbadge.
