Two Pioneer Wehrpass Books with Death Cards & More

    Hello everyone:
Recently a buddy of mine bought a large lot of German paper at an auction. Most was not military related but he dug out all there was and gave me a call.

When I got home with it all, I started to realize there were two distinct groups - both to Pioneer Soldiers and both apparently killed in action.

The first group has a blue book that looks like a diploma maybe? Plus multiple copies of his death card.

The second group has more to it... The Vet's mother and father's stuff too - even 1950s bank books of some sort. And again, duplicate death cards.

I had no idea those books would have made it back to the family, but I guess they did.

This is not my area of interest and I was wondering what type of interest there would be in this type of thing. I took a lot of pictures of all the entries and I don't know what is worthy to post. Are there particular page numbers I should post?

    Thanks for any input!

    If any interest....

As there were no comments or info tossed out there, I made a few guesses and put the two groups on ebay to let 'em roll.

      Hi Skip

Just seen these on eBay. They look like nice, honest Pionier groupings. Good to see they're getting some interest - but the shipping costs quoted on eBay exclude bidding from my neck of the woods!

      Cheers,
      Michael

        Skip,
I placed a bid on them. Hope they last until the end without getting kicked off.

I can't believe I did not notice they had the same last name, brothers - I'm brain dead sometimes.

Ouch! I missed that too, having focused on their units!

                Relisted

OK, I'm not going to be "that guy"! The group has been relisted as one. I appreciate the catch, it would be a shame to break this family up. Sorry if this is thread has gotten beyond the scope of the WAF.
