Where did you read that? got a photo of it?
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

I found the Feldpostnummer of one of the Units you are asking for:

      80184
      (8.9.1943-22.4.1944) 21.4.1944 Stab u. 1.-4. Kompanie
      Italienisches Küsten-Festungs-Bataillon 14.

You are looking for Panzer Jäger Abteilung 529:

        Panzerabwehr-Abteilung 169
Aufgestellt am 26. August 1939 in Hamm. Am 1. April 1940 in
Panzerjäger-Abteilung 169 umbenannt. Am 1. Juni 1940 auf Selbstfahrlafetten umgerüstet und als Heerestruppe eingesetzt. 1941 dann in Panzerjäger-Abteilung 529 umbenannt.
Neu aufgestellt im November 1942 mit zwei Kompanien und im April 1944 auf drei Kompanien erweitert."

          Hi Joda and all !

          Küsten-Festungs-Bataillon (ital.) :
According to Tessin, there existed Btls. 1-6, 11-17 and E 7-10 of this type.

Here is a link, which mentions that Italienisches Küsten-Festungs-Bataillon 14
was subordinated to BdO [=Befh. der Ordnungspolizei ?!] Triest in 1944:
          https://books.google.de/books?id=Jf4...talien&f=false
So you have at least the area.

          -------------
          PzJg.-Abt. 529 :

In addition to what Gerdan posted :
This unit was equipped with 4,7cm Pak(t) on Sfl. (Pz I chassis).
It consisted of Stab and 3 companies (each co. with 9 such Pak, organized into 3 platoons).
Some interesting photos of this vehicle:
          http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...nzerjager1.htm

          On 1. July, 1942, PzJg.-Abt. 529 was dissolved.
          The 1.Kp of 529, became the 3. Kp.(Sfl.) of PzJg.Abt. 27 (17. Pz.Div.).

          Best regards,

          Archi

                Hello Joda !

But then it's a totally different unit .
This is a replacement unit, that would train men for the 14. (PzJg.Kp.) of the Inf.Rgts.
(BTW, the unit was located in Aschaffenburg).

I would be curious to see more of this Soldbuch !

                Best regards,

                Archi

                  Thanks Archi,
so these soldiers were trained for PzJg role? Pz Jg units into Infantry regiments correct?
