                    Hi Tiziano
I know that he was awarded with the PKA Silber when fighting with Panzer Regiment 7.
At the end of the war he served with Panzerabteilung Norwegen which wasn't involved in battles. Therefore he earned the KVK
                    What division
I like to know in what place and in what battles was involved.
That means the writing of page 14?
To which divisions were her units added?
Any details that can help me to continue the research, lazarets, travels, etc.
Apologies if I ask too much
                    Thanks in advace

                        Hi all !

It seems this soldier was with Pz.Rgt 7 in Russia from the start of Barbarossa until April '42.

In 1942 he was wounded twice, the second time (around 15.4.42) heavily by:
Bombensplitter am Kopf (bomb splinters at the head, p. 12).

He was then treated in a Kriegslazarett 55?, then transferred to another Lazarett in Warschau and
finally sent back to Reserve-Lazarett III Leipzig, where he was released on 10.07.1942.
(There he was awarded his Verw.Abzeichen (schwarz)).

Over the next few weeks, he was granted some leave to cure his wounds, first by order of Res.Laz. Leipzig,
then from the replacement unit, he was tranferred to : Genesenden-Kp. Pz.Ers.Abt. 7

At some time before 1.12.43, he must have been transferred to Res.Pz.Abt. 7, because this unit
stamped his security check then (p. 15).
Perhaps this was already in Aug. 1943 (equipment entry, p.6), when this unit was sent from
Böblingen, (WK V), to France (area of Rennes, later Nimes, acc. to Tessin) as part of Res.Pz.Div. 155.
                        http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...55ResPzDiv.htm

In April 1944, 155. Res.Pz.Div. was used to refit 9. PzDiv. and dissolved. The remnants, among them
Res.Pz.Abt. 7 were sent back to WK V and later used for the (re)formation of Pz.Brig. Norwegen.

This soldier seems to have been posted to the newly raised Pz.Abt. Norwegen before Sept. 1., 1944,
as this was the unit that signed his last security check (p.15).

What happened in between might come more clear, if someone could decipher the units/stamps on p. 23 (bottom)
                        or p. 24 (top).

Pz. Abt. Norwegen was located near Drammen (SW of Oslo) early Jan. 1945.(LXX. AK. ?!)

The writing on p. 14 is signed by the Kp.Chef (could it be Hptm. ?Koch?) and says summarized:
This soldbuch is checked by me, everything is ok to the best of my knowledge and it belongs to Uffz. Karl Jung.

                        Cheers,

                        Archi

Pz.Abt.Norwegen wasn't raised in sept.44. It was basically the remnants of Pz.Rgt.9 of the 25 Pz.Div. which was sent out of Norway in sept.43.

The unit was headquartered close to todays main Oslo airport to the North of Oslo with its companies spread around the area. There's still a tank firing range that belonged to the unit at a place called Trandum which can be visited.

On page 2 "Besondere Kennzeichen" distinguishing features, it stats that he has a "Hasenscharte" cleft lip or cheilognathoschisis

                              Hello Simon O. !

                              Thanks for the correction.

Do you know, whether the unit was sent further north at some time
in March/April 45 or did it stay near Oslo to the very end ?!

                              Thanks and best regards,

                              Archi
