    Legion Condor Wehrpass "ehrenpokal"

Hello, I have just purchased this WP of Gerhahr Hobbie (gunner of Mölders). There's no photo on page three. It comes with several papers. I post some pages for opinions.

    Thanks for looking

LW medal for 4 years, EK2, WK1 and ehrenpokal, I can read. But I don't see the two last. Can be the last the Spanienkreuz in gold? I have read on a thread on this forum, that was won for this person.

    regards
    Mike

I read: "Verwundetenabzeichen" and "Spanienkreuz in Gold".

          Very interesting!

The signature on page 1 is that of Hauptmann und Staffelkapitän Freiherr von Hunold Nordeck zu Nordeck

"Sonderstab W“ was formed under the leadership of Luftwaffengeneral Helmut Wilberg to search for "volunteers" for military service in Spain.

          9./KG 27 "Boelcke" was formed 1.5.39 in Delmenhorst from 9./KG 157 "Boelcke".

KOLBE, Georg. (DOB: 09.12.11). 22.11.41 Oblt., 9./KG 27 KIA - He 111 H-6 (1G+BT) was the pilot of this a/c taking Werner Mölders to attend Udet's funeral, when they crashed at Schöngarten near Breslau in fog - motor failure was a factor.

Here are the names from the original loss report:

          /Ian
