              Rise,

Apologies for not posting this sooner but I have only just found it

The Soldbuch to Franz Kurscheidt who served with amongst other units, Stab/Feld Bataillon T5.

Unfortunately the photo has been removed from the Soldbuch but it is still present on the driving license.

Written to page 1 are details of his second wound whilst serving with FP Nr. 21584 - Regimentsstab Infanterie Regiment 124.

Page 4 shows that he also served with Stab, 72 Infanterie Division and Panzer Zerstörer Kompanie, Auffrischung Regiment, 36 Volksgrenadier Division, later renamed to 14 (Panzer Zerstörer) Kompanie, Grenadier Regiment 87 of the same Division.

His wound badge in silver records his third wound was when he was in Africa on 23.1.1943.

His Soldbuch records he was in Naples on 3.2.1943 until 7.2.1943 the transferred to München and lastly Luxemburg where he was discharged on 29.10.1943 as fit for garrison duty only.

31d would indicate his injuries were as a result of aerial bombings .

Page 14 shows that he arrived in Africa on Christmas Eve 1942 with the FP Nr stamp of 1. Batterie schwere Flak-Abteilung 372 which was lost in Africa on 11.5.1943.

His awards show he had the Wound Badge in Black on 10.5.1942 but this is crossed out. According to his Silver Wound Badge document his first wound was on 16.6.1941.

Page 22a showed he also had the Rumanian Commemorative Medal for the Crusade Against Communism.

                  /Ian
