Hi,
I want to show you a SS "Prinz Eugen" dog tag I got from the wearer!
He was 2nd MG gunner and was enlisted with only 17 years into the Waffen SS.
He was in Italy and exercised in the trenches of world war 1 near the Isonzo, told me about the fighting in Italy and the retreat to the homeland Austria.
Also he gave me an introduction into the Panzerfaust.
Another interesting detail is that he showed me an portrait of him without the Oral rune. He only had SS collar tabs.
Hopefully I can photograph it the next time.
By the way... I also asked him about medals he probably got...
He just laughed and told me analogously "for what, they are not that important"...
