DAK Soldbuch Pz.Rgt.8 Afrika

Hello,
I want to share with you my new acquisition, a nice well used soldbuch of a DAK Panzer veteran.
It belonged to Unteroffizier Eugen Hertner, a member of the 8./Panzer-Regiment 8. He arrived in Africa on 5.5.1941.

He received:
- 19.1.42 Italienische Erinnerungsmedaille
- 1.9.42 Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Kl. mit Schwerter
- 10.10.42 Sturmabzeichen (PAB?)
- 7.5.43 EK II

The soldbuch comes with a "Vorläufiges Besitzzeugnis" for the EK2, hand written and signed from Hauptmann Schnelle,
Führer II./Pz.Rgt.8, shortly before the regiment surrendered in Tunisia in May 43.

Many of these DAK Soldbuchs seem to have lots of mark-ups and mark-outs.

..no no... .this one is first-"Version"
no photos is normal for DAK-SB
he was in POW..1943..
