From this document I see he went to military parachuting school, but is not written if he got the license, is possible to check if he got it? If yes, does it must appear the FJ in the soldbuch or is not a rule?

The uncompleted paper sheet about Nahkampftage, is it like that because he got it and it was never written there?

What about the EK2 might he get it during Battle of Bulge?

              Thanks in advance!

He doesn't appear to have gone to Para school but he was at the main medical station for Fj. troops and was found fit.

I do not think he is a jump trained para at all.....are there any entries on page 18-21 at all?

I can not find much on the unit on the internet at the moment I am not with my books, however the Abteilung Commander was Oberstabsarzt Dr. Carl Langemeyer Ritterkreuzträger.

I have a group myself to this unit but not got round to researching it yet.

                /Ian

It's a late war Soldubuch of a soldier assigned to a paratrooper unit, but this doesn't mean he was a paratrooper! Very probably he was not a paratrooper at all. No trace of a jump school.

The unit should be this one:
                    http://www.ww2.dk/ground/fallschirm/krtrspabt.htm

Although on the Soldbuch the unit is entered without the suffix "21" the Feldpost number on the Security Check match that unit

                      Here's mine......he was FP Nr. 28796:

                      (15.2.1942-30.7.1942) Kranken-Transport- Kompanie Flieger-Korps XI,
                      (6.4.1944-9.11.1944) 14.6.1944 Kranken-Transport- Kompanie Fallschirm-Armee 1,
                      (6.4.1944-9.11.1944) 26.6.1944 Fallschirm-Kranken-Transport-Abteilung Fallschirm-Armee 1,
                      (6.4.1944-9.11.1944) 6.7.1944 Stab Fallschirm-Sanitäts-Lehr-Abteilung 21.

The para license is signed by Stabsarzt Dr. Karl Langemeyer as Abteilung Kommandeur.

1944 Dr. Langemeyer was appointed commander of the Fallschirm-Sanitäts-Lehrabteilung in Nancy. This was followed by combat in Normandy. In September 1944, the medical unit was used as an infantry unit in the fighting around Nancy-Luneville. For this action Dr. Langemeyer was awarded on 18.11.1944 with the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.

Page one bears the fact he was flying personnel (paratrooper) in red, also his dog tag number matches that of FP Nr. 28796.

Otherwise he did a good job of hiding his awards and unit as page 3/4, 17/18 and 21/22 are missing. No other info in the Soldbuch can connect him to this unit!!
