Entries in Wehrpass

Hi Everyone
I have seen Wehrpasses with stamps on the awards given a soldier and I have seen them without any stamp. What is the rule of thumb on this type of entry in the Wehrpass?

I am of the understanding that a Soldbuch requires the stamp and a signature. Does this hold true for the Wehrpass or was it treated differently?

The Wehrpass was kept by the unit and normally didn't require the stamp. However, it was often done and should be done, if it is being closed out. That way the man (when leaving the military) or the relatives (the person has died) couldn't add awards after they received it.
