Thought I'd probe the lines here for an SS Soldbuch that I am being offered. The book is to an Obersturmbahnfuhrer (later promoted to Standartenfuhrer). Book has an original Sepp Dietrich signature, as the officer was in the LSSAH circa 1941. He was a senior judge in Italy also. No combat awards, but it is a nice book. Comes with a formal picture of the same officer, and a couple of other very minor documents (of nominal value). Officer was in the SS as early as 1933, and rated the Honor Ring in 1934.

Sounds like a nice Soldbuch. Besides the points you mentioned there are other factors you are probably aware of that may or may not influence value. Condition is one, but again not always. Did a short stint in the Ist Division and then somewhere in between, and Italy. Was already an SS officer in 1933...that is neat. No combat awards. Now, just a few general questions. What awards are in the Soldbuch? Was he at least awarded the KVK...anything? Is the recepients photo inside, or was it removed? Is it complete or were pages removed? You will probably get varying valuations, but I would estimate somewhere in the Eur 800 to Eur 1000 region based on the information provided if it is a good one. Then again maybe less, or even more. Be also careful that it is not played with. If possible, please post scans should you buy it.
