Hi Doug,
No, unfortunatley he was not at jump school....page 1 notes him as a Fluganwärter - aircrew candidate and page 17 shows him in the School/Training Company of Pilot Training School A14? in Klagenfurt.

He then transfers to the Main Examination Office of the Fallschirm Army and finally to the Field Replacement Battalion of 3 Fj.Division.

Typical of the state of the war..started off as Flak by the look of things, then transferring to become a pilot....at that stage of the war many pilots actually became infantry with some school closing....used as ground troops with a Fj. unit. Whether he was in combat with Feld Ers.Btl. 3 or actually joined a field unit is unknown.

Two Führergeschenk as the first entry states he is entitled to receive the gift and second that he received it from the Office of the Mayor of Klagenfurt.

Nice photo to see wearing head wear...which was against regulations!!!
