          and the only horses that he will see in the Art. Reg. 171 in Itaky are those that pulled artillery ..... here are just horses pulling a FH18 10.5cm Howitzer in Senigallia (30 km south of Pesaro, august 1944)

            Interessant picture with "late" serie of le FH 18 in transport. Most of the inf. div. were like that, in particular in Normandy theater. As Hauptwm. your guy was certainly the "Spiess" of his company.
