Hi all!
Just wanted to show this off! I bought this group a few years ago while living in Germany at a junk shop of all places. I consists of a silver wound badge, the doc for the silver wound badge, and the soldbuch. The doc for the wound badge is named to an uffz. in the 26th artillery regiment that was part of the 26th VGD. He recieved a silver WB for his 1st wound on Dec 23, 1944 during the battle for Bastogne. My personal guess is as an artilleryman he would have been supporting the infantry and was attacked by one of the numerious air raids that the US army was unleashing that day in their efforts to defend the city. His soldbuch shows he fought in russia with the 26th prior to the battle for the bulge. He was also entitled to the KVK with swords and the Ost medal. Just a neat group I thought I would share.
