Questionable dogtag?

HI. I found this on a website for sale, and while I am very interested in this unit, I am really questioning the originality of this tag. Am I correct to question this? I thought it was unusual that the opposite halves are stamped in the same direction. Is this a signal of forgery (outside of the outstanding condition of the tag itself)?
