    Fighter pilot ID

    Hi !
    I have some problems to find more infos about this guy . Please, what is this ID ? Could someone hellp me ? There is a chance that he was fighter pilot. many thanks for you hellp and best regards Jery !

    This is a flying ID or flieger ausweis. These were carried by aircrew in lieu of carrying their Soldbuchs which carried too much information if shot down and captured.

    Was he a fighter pilot, maybe, that is where the fun of researching these items comes in to play. All aircrew carried these so he could have been and observer , air gunner, etc..

    Either way nice item.

      Sorry I had a look yesterday but forgot to post a reply.....as I didn't find him listed anywhere as a pilot or aircrew....there was a person with the same name but he was killed whilst serving with JG 26 in 1942.

                Is there any provenance that those awards actually belonged to that airman rather than having been added since the war to beef up the price?
                One of those badges is an Imperial era Pilots Badge (Badges are not my area so no idea if original or not) and yet the man wasn't born until 1921.

                  Hi !
                  He is SCHIEK for sure .... I have found via feldpostnoumber that his unit was 5./ JG 2
                  I have payed about 700 USD for the whole estate, so I dont thing that someone want tune up the price ...
