    Fallschirmjager-Ersatz- u. Ausbildungs-Regiment 2, PLEASE HELP

    Hallo guys,

I need your help: does anyone knows about a "linkage" between the Fallschirmjager-Ersatz- u. Ausbildungs-Regiment 2 and the Fj Rgt. 1??

    I explain: I have a Luft soldbuch that belonged to a Fj soldier serving from 1944 in Regimentsstab, Fallschirmjager-Ersatz- u. Ausbildungs-Regiment 2.

My woder is why his promotion to Stabgefr. (pag. 3) was written as "FJ Rgt 1" and signed by the Hauptmann of the FJ Ers Ausb Rgt 2..... (The same Haupmann signed the security ckecks at page 14...)

Normally there was no connection between these two units, in particular because FE u A Regt. 2 was at that time in France (based in Troyes, in Champagne) the reserve unit of 3. and 5. Fj. Divisionen.
But it doesn't mean there is here a problem. Military appointment was sometime "hazardous" or, on the contrary, based on soldier's speciality or his possible specificity.
But hard to explain the difference of unit you are talking about : are you sure about the Fj. Regt. 1 ?

        Thank you for your reply!
Here are the picts; the name of the Hauptmann who signed the change of soldier's grade is the same of the security check, with the stamp of FE u A Regt. 2 (Fp. 62546). But at page 3 you can see the 1. Flsch Regt name.
I was wondering why it is not written as Flsch.Rgt 1, but the "1" is before the name.. but I cannot see other possibilities..

        Thanks for your opinion!

Regarding the "1" written before "Fallschirm Rgt", I was thinking about the possibility that it means "1.Kompanie", and Fallsch Rgt is his own FE u A Regt. 2 witten in a "condensed" form.
            Might this be true?

              Hello

The soldier was in 1st Coy / Fallsch. Ers. u. Ausb. Rgt 2 and after in Stab./Fallsch. Ers. u. Ausb. Rgt 2

So the "1" means Battalion or Kompanie?

"1" means Kompanie and "I" (Roman numeral) means Battalion.
