Gesicht - Shape of face?

Gents,

This one has me stumped.....can't work it out at all...... I have recorded 12 different shapes of face over the years.....but not this one.

Any ideas?

My first reaction was "Stumpfheit", but that means "stupor" or "dullness", not really a good description for a shape. In any case, it looks like the last letters are "heit" or "keit".

Could be.....it also means bluntness.....need to find the "old" term rather than the modern but it has potential!

It does look like stumpfheit.

The German Military Dictionary(US published 1944) gives the definition of stumpf as
Blunt, dull or worn out.

Is it an older soldier? Could it just be worn out?

Maybe he had a greyish look and not a healthy skin color?
