    French Anti-Resistance Soldbuch?

Hi, looking into what kind of job this guy had in France. I see he went to a language school. On page 1, the two small entries are hard to read, I think it is sonderfuhrer (G)?

He was awarded the Wound Badge in Black on Sept. 25, 1944 so he saw some action during the retreat out of France.

23.5.1941 he was appointed Sonderführer (G) - (Gruppe) then that appears to have been changed 11.9.1943 to Sonderführer (K) - (Kompanie)?.

31.1.1944 he went back to his substansive Army rank of Gefreiter.....when his posting/appointment had finished.

There were (Z) - (Zug), ((B) - (Bataillon) and (R) - (Regiment) Sonderführer positions.....depending on roll and authority.

Additional clues might be found on page 18-19 in relation to Wehrsoldgruppe.

I saw this one and went for it but too late......

          /Ian

Thank you Ian. Nice to confirm I was reading it right.

We seem to have some of the same hunting grounds.

Interessant book with nice paper about lost weapon and accessories. First time I see such doc added in a Sb. But I don't see any sign that he was specialy involved in action against Resistance. The Sich. unit entry is not enough.
I don't see corectly the number of his last inf. unit.

I believe he joined the 271 VGD when it was rebuilt and sent to the Eastern Front.

He was with Sich. Rgt 100/1000 , beginning of 1944 thru September 1944 when he was wounded.

                      OK.
As you noted in post 2, the stamp dated of 1943 is very interessant, and refered to a "Zoll" central service in Marseille, in south of France.

Sad, I have the organisation of Sich-Rgt. 1000. Unfortunatly I just miss the name of adjudant of II. Btl.

The II. Btl. was under command of Major Schwarz until his death (30 7 1944). Next commandant was von Wartenburg (7 44 to 9 44) and Meyer-Berge.

Of course there isn't proof he personally went on patrols but a forum member sent me a message that this unit had battle in his area of France in the summer of 1944 and has first hand accounts from people who witnessed the killing of civilians in his area.
