If someone has an account it would be nice if you could take some screen shots and post here ... I thought all personal items were in the hands of family?

certainly it is an extraordinary Soldbuch, but 20,000 euro for a soldbuch without photos?

...I think I might open the bidding .... just to say I had a bid.

Being totally ignorant about Soldbuchs, but is it usual to have all entries entered by the same person and pen? I'm used to seeing different colors or shades of pen, plus different hand writing ...

Also ... I would assume that based on wear and tear these items were replaced a few times over the career of the soldier ... but this one seems to be in pretty good condition considering it was constantly being used and prone to abuse?

I have to agree with regards to the entries, to my eyes it looks like they were written at the same time.
I note there is no entry for his Hanhart Chronograph watch either.

Ersatz or second issue Soldbuch are always going to have all the previous entries transcribed in the new book by one person. There are specific regulations on how this is done.

It is clearly label as an "Ersatzanfertigung" on the 2nd page ....

Also, airmen did not typically carry their SBs on flights so there wouldn't be as much wear on this one as a typical infantryman or similar.
