    Ss Pz Gren Regt 3 Deutschland Soldbuch

    Another recent acquisition to a Volksdeutsch from Serbia, who was drafted into Das Reich in 1944. Wounded twice(shell splinters on both occasions), Normandy and then during the retreat in Belgium or northern France. Awarded Black Wound Badge, and Pz assault Badge in Bronze. Survived and discharged the Waffen SS in 1946.

        Hi Mark,

        Now that is a nice book.......any more scans?
        Also need any help with the translations, abbreviations etc.?

              Here are a few notes on his Kompanie-Führer, whose signature appears in the book (from John P. Moore's CD-Rom "Führerliste der Waffen-SS"):

              Stocker, Eugen
              SS-Obersturmführer

              Born: 30.03.1915 in Reitheim.

              SS-Nr.: 286 736

              Assigned as SS-Ostuf. and Kompanie-Fhr. to SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 3 "Deutschland" / 2.SS-Panzer-Division "Das Reich" as of Nov. 1944.

              SS-Ustuf. and OO (Ordonnanz-Offizier) in SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt. 3 "Deutschland" as of Jun. 1944.

              SS-Hschaf. in 4.Kompanie / SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt. 3 "Deutschland" as of Jul. 1943.
