    Hi,

His name was Heinrich Litwin. We would need to see page 4 to see what units he served in.

            Hi,

Please, could someone help me with more information about this veteran?

I dont have knowledge to identify infomations in SB.

            Thanks in advance!

              Hi,
I see Inf. reg. 240, if he was in this regiment in 1941 during the attack on Moscow his regiment got about as close as anyone, only 17 klm from Moscow.
Looks like a nice book, looks like he got wounded in the attacks and received the EK 2 in the winter defensive battles.

Not 100% sure on those details (if he was with that reg. at that time)
might need to wait for someone else to confirm.

              Regards
              Greg

From page 4, section C (front line units), it can be seen, he served with: 8 Kp Inf. Rgt. 240, 2 Kp Landschutz Btl "D", and 1 Kp Gren. Rgt. 753. From pages 12-13, it can be seen, he was wounded in 1941 (can't read the top first date), a second time in Jan. 1942 and a third time in Dec. 1944.

He was wounded in the summer of 1941 (can't see if it is August or September 1941) with IR240 part of 106. ID, fighting around Smolensk. On or just before 21st December 1944 he was wounded while serving with GR 753, part of 326. Volksgrenadier Division during the Ardennes offensive.

Which may make it a "Battle of the Bulge" book. Highly collected by some...
