    Ss Soldbuch Das Reich/tk

Here is my latest acquisition. A grey card SS Soldbuch to a Rotten fuhrer who started out in 7 Kp 4 SS Tk Inf Regt, then to Schnell Rgt Langemark then to Stab II Abt SS Pz Rgt 2 then to one of the Werkstatt Kps. I believe he died in Jul 44 based on an entry in the front of the book. There are 3 signatures of Karl Heinz Boska RKT in the book.

    Cheers

    Mark

Can't make it out too clearly but I think it says "died 29.7.1944 shot in the head and shot through the neck"!

                      Ian,

Many thanks for both bits of info, the date of death ties up with the withdrawal of the Division from the Cherbourg Peninsula, much of the time under 'Jabo' fire.

                        Ostmadaille

                        Hello Mark

It seems the Ostmedaille was signed by Franz Stadler, born 4.10.1919, SS-Nr 340.435., at this adj and untersturmführer

He ended the War as an SS-Obersturmführer presumely in 3/Pz Rgt 2 "Das Reich"

                        Regards Jens

                          Karl-Heinz Boska

                          Boska, Karl-Heinz born 18.10.20 in Kiel SS-Nr 423 651

Boska was adjudant later co of 6/Pz Rgt 2. He ( most probably) ended the war as Btn CO of II/BTN Pz Rgt 2

Well that would of course raise the price

Anyway, another interesting person to sign this Soldbuch is SS-Obersturmführer Hans Pavelka, born 30.3.1917 in Wien. He was a co of 5/SS Pz Rgt 2 and won the DKiG 9/4 1943.
