I have this early Wehrpass to a man that served with MG-Bataillon 13. A pretty uncommon unit. He took part in Operation Weserübung, the German invasion of Denmark and Norway. What makes it even more interesting is the fact that he earned a EKII on 12th May 1940 for taking part in these battles. Later he went on to fight on the Russian front around Kiestinki (Karelien). There he was badly wounded and died on 18th November 1941 in Feldlazarett 662 (mot.).

Yeah i noticed that too.
Nice to see the Norwegian entries, if you google Glåmdalen, Åsta bru and Østerdalen you'll get an idea of where his campaign in Norway took him.Last edited by Simon O.; 10-16-2014, 03:42 PM.Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

In addition to his Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen entry, here are some scans from his Arbeitsdienstpaß and Landhelfer-Brief.
