searching for information about Uffz. Herb. Traupe from 1 Pz. Regt

Herb. - is it Herbert???

There is one Herbert Traupe listed in the Volksbund as being MIA from December 1941 but he wouldn't be your guy as the one listed was born in 1921 which would make him 17 for the date shown on the item, and that is too young for someone to be an Unteroffizier.

There is no-one listed with that name for having won a high end award during the war so chances are you won't find out anything about him. He is probably just one among millions of anonymous Wehrmacht soldiers.
