Hello Mark,

Yes, 25th Panzer Division was withdrawn West from the Northern Ukraine for refit during March-April 1944. This man remained assigned to the Divisional Staff during the beginning of May, which would have placed him with the remaining divisional headquarters element not yet withdrawn.
