    Decyphering a Soldbuch wound page

I showed this group earlier, but not too much time to research and now taking a second look on it I see something in the wound page and I wonder if my ideas are the correct ones.

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=432286

I see that he was wounded August 08, 09 and 11, 1.943 but he stand with the troops not entering an hospital and he received for those wounds the Black and Silver grades if the Wound Badge on October 21st, 1.943.

Then he was wounded again on October 26 amd 27, 1.943 and again he was not at any hospital. For this two wounds he was awarded the Gold grade on March 27th, 1.944.

His final wound was on November 9th, 1.943 and this time he enteres for the first tim, due a wound, in an hoospital and not recovered and stayed invarious ones till the endo of the war.

What do you think? I am right or any other info available?

    Thanks

    Hi Angel,

Looking at the dates then it looks like the following:

8.9.43 Right finger (Note. September not August but the month has been changed on the first date! August corresponds with the wound bagde) (Black WB)
    9.8.43 Left hip
11.8.43 Left index finger (Silver WB)

    26.10.43 31b left upper arm
27.10.43 31b Right hand (Gold WB)

9.11.1943 he is in Kriegslazarett 3/581...is this his sixth wound or continuation of his fifth wound on 27.10.1943?

All wounds were dealt with by the Truppenverbandplatz I./460 (Regimental Aid Post - RAP) of his unit and of course were deemed not serious enough to warrant going to Reserve Hospital.

Nice to see these entries as a lot of the time only Lazarett entries are made on these pages!

Thanks Ian, I also find interesting that he was treated 5 timnes by his Regimental Aid Post and that was his final wound that took him to an hospital bed.
