    WP Panzer Ace

I wanted to share a few impressions of Hans Strippel`s WP (KC and Oak Leaves with Panzer-Regiment 1).

WP are not really my field of collecting but I like this one because of 1) all his combat days are entered and 2) by coincidence I have the Album of a soldier who served with him so there are images of Strippel in the album.

First some impressions of the WP

    Awards

    Some of the combat days

    Some photos from the Album

    Strippel before the KC

Strippel on his KC award day. At the time the unit was stationed in France in Vers-sur-Selle.

    Somewhere in Russia

OLs to the KC, but I think that the Panzerkampfabzeichen "75" is even better!!!

                  Below a few more photos.

Panther after battle. Notice the empty Shells. On of the guide wheels Looks bent.

                  A close-up of the Zimmerit.

This is Ofw. Shäfer who, like Ofw. Strippel, was also a Zugführer in 2./PzRgt 1. He was awarded the RKT about one year before Strippel.
