    my first Soldbuch...

    Hi, Männer.

    my first Soldbuch...

What about it? good or no good...? Please tell me.

Soldbuch, 15-10-40. With uniform passphoto and extra protective cover.
    Gren.Rgt.199 "List"

    Entitled to:
    - Infantry Assault Badge in Silver,
    - Iron Cross 2nd Cl.,
    - Wound Badge in Black,
    - Winter War Medal,
    - Wound Badge in Silver.

"Infanterie Regiment List" cufftitle (entry page 7: Armelstreifen ).

This was the honour title of Gren.Rgt.199 "List", instituted because it was the unit Hitler served with during WW-1 !

Sept.44 he was transferred to Gren.Rgt.417 of the 168.lnf.Div., then operating in the Carpathian Mountains.

That same month he was seriously injured and repatriated to Germany. He spent the rest of the war in military hospitals.

The Soldbuch is that I bought my collector-father mr.mel

    Best regards
    S.W

I echo what people have already said.....incidentally I recognise one signature on page 24 leave 5:

              Leutnant Ferdinand Forstpointner
              8./Grenadier-Regiment 339
              7.6.1943 Ehrenblattspange

              Oberleutnant Ferdinand Forstpointner
              6./Grenadier-Regiment 339
              1.12.1943 Deutsches Kreuz in Gold
