    Storing a Wehrpass

Does anybody know where (in the UK) I can get the clear plastic pockets to store Wehrpass/Soldbuchs?

I've found some which are maybe 25mm too big each way, but have had no luck finding any the exact size.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Bolty.

They are about the same size as a passport, I think maybe camera/photo shops may sell them.

I keep my Soldbücher and Wehrpässen in plastic sleeves designed for keeping first day covers (FDC) in!
There are two types that I have come across...first is flimsy and loads from the left hand side, the second is stronger and loads from the top...the latter is the type I use!
For documents I used normal A4/A5 plastic document sleeves...normally from Staples or computer/office shop.

Here is a photo of some...taken a while ago but shows roughly what I mean! There was a thread on the forum regarding some of my binders, the text is still there but the images long gone

          Thanks guys,

Crikey Ian, that's one great collection. How long did it take to get all that?

In the states, Office Depot carries all of these different types of sleeves.

i have found them very good to use. They are great to use for putting them in cabinets and stuff. I belive you may just get a chance at getting them a WHsmiths ~(Uk Only) They are in the photo paper area, the price is a bit for £10 for 40 pastic wallets. i saw some in (Meadow Hall) its just off junction 34 of the M1 near Sheffield. Hope this helps

              Jon,

I have a few more, however I have only collected Soldbücher und Wehrpässe for some years....
The pockets I use are Multimaster MM2 and usually are 30 pence each for 50....50 + around 22p.

                  Hi Ian,
Glad to see you're still about passing out the useful info..... I know we have had conversations before about the storage of SB & WP, but I still have not transfered to your system.

I presently store most of mine in polyfile P pockets. However, I have notice on several other thread about the effect of the chemical residues coming out of plastics and affecting the doc's we collect

What are your thoughts on this????

Also do you consider humity as where you store your documents??

                  Thanks
                  Regards
                  Si
