    Any assistance on identifying the middle unit entry.

    "MBtty 1000" ? I really am not sure.

    He was KIA on May 1, 1945, buried at Kummersdorf-Gut.

      Could it mean "Artillerie Messbatterie 1000 "?

          I have searched for any artillery unit numbered 1000 but have found nothing.
