    Soldbuch San. Komp. 715

    Hi all,
I want to show you my first Soldbuch.

The soldier was Josef Vesenmaier, he was in the Sanitat Kompanie 715 from the 715. Infanterie Division and then in the San. Komp. 473... that from the info I found was under the LXXIII. Korps z.b.V. located near Ferrara.

Unfortunately swastikas have been removed ... and the pages of hospitalizations and weapons are missing.

    Hope you like it

    Pietro

      The unit...
First Inf. Regiment 725 and then Feldhalblazzaret 715 and San. Komp. 715...
The 715. ID was transferred in Italy in 1944 to oppose the landing of the Allies in Anzio / Nettuno. The division participated at the operation ''Fischfang'' suffering heavy losses.

After Nettuno the division went up the Italian peninsula rising from Lazio and then Tuscany.

At the end of August the division was in Mugello. (Borgo San Lorenzo-Vicchio) and in September (1-18 Sept.) stood on the positions of the Gothic Line near the Giogo Pass and the Colla Pass. The battle lasted from 11 till 18 Sept.

Thank you for sharing your book!

In regards to 'Lager 6a', yes that is probably during captivity. If you go to the end of line 5 it might have a date listed. I can't tell from the picture of the whole page if there is a date. Try to match up that entry with some other entries in the book.

the Lager 6a was the main field of Rimini Enclave (located between Bellaria and Igea Marina) where there were the "sanitat" soldiers who did not serve in the German military hospitals who were in Cesena and Cesenatico...

                    ciao
