    WP + SB Radio Operator KG 53-55 German Cross

    I want to show here my newest arrivel. Wehrpass and Soldbuch Luftwaffe with his Bundeswehr Wehrpass and his Flying ID and his Radio Operator License.

    This Guy was a Radio Operator (Bordfunker) in KG 53 and 55 - End of 1944 he served to Transportgruppe Finnland and survived the War.

    I have research this Guy have 8 Missions in the Westernfront - and all his other Missions in EasternFront.

    Verry nice his Awards:
    Iron Cross first and second Class, Easatfrontmedal, Flying Clasp for Missions "300", Ehrenpokal and German Cross in Gold !
    I love his Pictures with all his awards - and show him in his Flight Dress !

                  Very nice, I've only come across a couple of groups related to TG 20 before. You might think he would have received the Lapplandschild as well but the rules stated that LW personnel had to complete at least 30 days of 'feindflüge' or 6 months in theatre. As he was in a transport unit he can't have accumulated enough feindflüge days and he wasn't within the qualifying area for 6 months or more

                    Many Thanks for the comments. This guy have a lot of Missions - i think his service at the end of war at the TG 20 help him to survive the war !

                    Yes the group is not complete...no Docs or others...but iam verry happy with it. A nice Couple of Soldbuch and Wehrpass with Photos of him ! I think for a "Bordfunker" highly Decoraded !

                      I agree, one of the few lucky enough to survive it all, I wonder why he was transferred from bombers to transports?

                        Yes i was woundering tooo - first unit he was a verry long time - and have a lot of missions ....and then he transfered to a total other unit...

                            Many Thanks, have someone more informations about his Transport group ? I think here he dont have a lot of action - right ?

                              No idea but february and others months of 45 were not a "good season" for transport flights... The sky was wery saturated !
