    Cavalry holiday pass?

Someone offered this to me and I have no idea what it might be, other than perhaps some sort of holiday/vacation pass, although I'm probably way off. Do you guys think this is even an original item?

    pass

Looks original. It simply states the bearer has leave until 2400 hrs. on that day.

Here a photo showing the Kavallerie Regiment 6 "marching" in the streets of Bensheim (Hessen) not with horses but with bicycles, 1937:

Ha, thank you both for the information! I was pretty close, but I thought the pass was for 24 hours leave, not until 2400 hours that day. No rest for the wehry.

Not sure if that is his signature but the Schwadronchef should have been Oblt. Friedrich-Wilhelm von Bernhardi at the time, later Oberstleutnant.
