Here are two seperate WP one of the disks is loose and the other is attached,Why don't all WP come with these disks?and also what are they for?

Hi Eric,

Those are Kreigsmarine identity discs- normally to be worn on a cord around the neck. If a soldier (Kriegsmarine personnel were soldiers, not sailors- sailors were Merchant Marine personnel) was released from active service, he often kept his identity disc, and it was secured inside the back cover of his Wehrpaß. That way if he were to re-enter active service, he would still have it.
