I've been working for the past 3 years on putting together a collection of Wehrpasses and/or Soldbuchs that consists of representatives of all of the German Heer units that fought in the battle of the Huertgen Forest from Sep. 44 until Feb. 45, when the battle officially ended. Specifically, I'm referring to the units that held the sector that ran as far north as Duren/northern edge of the forest at Stoberg to as far south as the northern edge of Monschau. With some luck, I've managed to get almost all of the divisions that took part - the 12th, 62nd, 246th, 272nd, 277th and 326th VGDs, as well as the 47th, 89th, 275th, 344th and the 353rd IDs, and of course the 3rd Pz.Gren.Div. and 116th Pz.Div. The only one I've had a devil of a time finding is an example from the 85th ID. The individual himself doesn't actually have to have fought in the Huertgen - just looking for a SB or WP that has an entry for that division. If anyone can help, let me know - willing to discuss payment or trade in WPs.
