Can anyone help with this number. Should be a Panzer unit. The number is from the beggining of 1944, where a danish volunteer served in this WH Heer unit. He was KIA in mid-44.

This guy was killed in 1944. Strangely he was in the Heer and not W SS. His brother was killed about the same time so the both went on the same orbituary

Well normally danish volunteers ( unless the belonged to the german minority) always went to Waffen SS, but this guy went to a Heer unit!
The brother went to a W SS and was KIA in Estonia!Comment
