Soldbuch Leutnant Brauer Eisenbahn Pionier Rgt 4

Here is a (for me) interesting Soldbuch and document group to Leutnant Oswald Brauer.

I really like the stoic (1000 yard stare) Soldbuch foto.

Brauer served and worked his way up the ranks within Eisenbahn Pionier Regiment 1 and 4

Well-prepared for his second winter in Russia....Brauer recieved felt boots, and jacket and pants to the Winteranzug.

In addition to this, he also was issued an MPi 40.

In addition to the MPi he also carried his own Sauer 7,65 cal pistol.

Brauer was awarded the following:

Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen,

Dienstabzeichen 4. Klasse

Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwerten,

Ostmedaille

Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz

Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse

along with the HJ Ehrenzeichen

I bought the Soldbuch on Militaria321.....and the documents were sold seperately on Detlev's old site.

Does anyone know where the documents are now??????

Very nice SB! Seems to be in a ver good condition for being carried throughout the whole war with a nice array of medals awarded to him! The pistol entry is also great.

The last entry page 20, bottom, I do not understand. I can't read it exactly but I read something as

"Antrag auf Auszahlung des Käitänleutnantshandeld ?? an (W)BK Potsdam 4.4.44 gestellt.

Zahlmeisterei... "
